Young Marine Summer Odyssey
This summer will mark the 4th consecutive year that Outdoor Odyssey and the
National Young Marines have teamed up for exciting adventure and leadership
camp. After hosting leadership schools in 2002 and a national encampment
in 2003 and 2004, we have decided to once again come up with something new
for 2005.
With the help of the National Young Marines, Outdoor Odyssey has developed
a new approach to this summer's camp. This summer will be different than
past encampments in many ways.

New Lodging for Adult Volunteers
Outdoor Odyssey Counselors will be assigned to teams of Young Marines and
chaperone them throughout the week of camp. Young Marine adult chaperones
will lodge at the Mountain Valley and Adirondack Lodges, Outdoor Odyssey's
retreat center. All meals for adults will be provided at the camp. This
change will allow the adults to spend time moving around with the different
groups that their Young Marines are assigned to. Adults will not be
required to backpack or travel to the cave with the Young Marines. After
nightly dinner Young Marine Adults will be able to retreat to the Lodges
for the night. Check out the lodges on this website for more information.
