In every aspect of Outdoor Odyssey's unique programming, from corporate teambuilding to youth
mentoring, you will find an emphasis on education. At Outdoor Odyssey, we believe that a strong
mental diet gives us the opportunity to make sound choices that postively shape the directions we
take in life.
That's why you'll see us in the schools meeting regularly with the children in our mentoring
program, developing education-related goals that have a direct impact on the child's performance in
school, particularly when those goals are also supported by the mentor.
That's why you'll see us working with the mentors during the week of Leadership Academy and
throughout the year to develop leadership skills that focus on success in school, both for the
mentor and the young campers on the team. That's also why we provide four scholarships each year to
mentors who have made the greatest impact on their team.
That's why we sponsor programs like Starbase, a hands-on math, science, & technology program for
area fifth graders, as well as the Outdoor Odyssey Summer Science & Adventure camps.
That's why our teambuilders for local high school and college students and our elementary
educational field trips earn A's in adventure and education.
At Outdoor Odyssey, we teach leadership principles that have direct application to success in school
and in life.
